I experienced a Microsoft Phone Scam call yesterday. The gentleman who had a thick accent which was made it difficult to understand him said he was from and asked me a question regarding surfing the Internet. The question he asked was “have you ever been on the internet and opened a new tab and the page took a long time to load?” I replied yes I have experienced that problem, but I have a cleaner that will correct that problem. The caller then told me that he was going to transfer me to a technician to help me. I told him that I work on my own computer, he ignored me and transferred me any way so I hung up.
If you are ever call by someone claiming to be Microsoft tell the caller you already have a company that you trust, thank you for your time and that you hanging up.
